Where did it all begin?
After my second child was born, I went back to study as a fitness
trainer. As a 35yr old mum I was ridiculed by the teacher and other
younger class participants for not being fit and carrying extra weight. I
was held up in class as an example of what “not” to be. But I would not
let them crush my spirit. I spent the next 12 months training. Whilst the
others had their breaks, I would run around the block. I know what it’s
like to feel unfit. I also know what it takes to turn things around. I was persistent, patient and above all determined. I went back nine
months later and beat just about everyone in that fitness room. From
then on, I decided I would make it my mission to help others in life
begin their fitness journey.
Where does my passion come from?
My passion is helping people to believe that they can achieve great
things, things they never thought possible. I have been a fitness
trainer for over 15 years (His and Her Time Health and Fitness) and
assisted thousands of people to attain their first-time marathon goals. I
have run over 28 marathons in the past 15 years, with times ranging
between three hours to eight hours. I know what it is like to be out on
the course for a long time and so am able to help you navigate all the
challenges.
I have been lucky enough to have been able to accompany over 500 competitors the New York City Marathon, as well as to other World Marathons; I have much experience in managing race days, as a coach and as a competitor.

I have coproduced a film ‘I’m Not a Runner’ about five women that I
trained, who literally went from their couches to running the biggest
marathon in the world, the TCS New York City Marathon. My efforts and
abilities have been recognised. I was awarded Trainer of the Year in
2017; was a Finalist in Telstra Business Awards in 2017; The Advertiser
(Adelaide Daily Newspaper) Runner-up Personal Trainer of the Year in
2021 and voted as one of top ten trainers of Australia, in 2021, I
regularly assist Fitness Australia, by participating in judging and
awarding annual awards to their members. I am also owner and director of
Adventure Time Travel. It is one of the very few registered
International Travel Operators for the TCS New York City Marathon in
Australia.
